    Check energy efficient ratings.
    Use energy saving bulbs (CFL)
Always remove the plug from sockets to prevent phantom charges
Check the wattage of all your appliances (and find new ones that would have better rates)
Use the computer and TV less often
Try avoiding the use of AC
Check your ref’s temperature, dont set it too low
Don’t use electric ranges (consumes a lot of electricity)

use lcd monitors and tvs they use aroun half the electricity of that of regular crt ones… switch to cfl lighting, go easy on water consumption by showering rather than using ur bath tub…

Replaced all light bulbs with low useage florescent bulbs,

put timers at all light switches to turn off lights you might forget to turn off,

put an energy monitor on our water heater so that it only heats water at high useage times (examples: on 20 minutes before wake up time for showers (no baths), off at the time we leave for the day, on in the evening for cooking and kitchen clean up and off all night and the water tank keeps (50 gals) water warm enough for in between times if we are here at home,

this is the largest energy savings in our home,

we have tried some green cleaning solutions

and wash clothes in cold water only.

    good luck

One big one fore me was I was getting a draft under front door. Turns out I had to take a screwdriver and adjust my threshhold. Now it is fine. Also switch to those light bulbs, you really do save a lot, but only thing is that I don’t particularly care for the Artificial like light it gives off. :(

when your not using something disconnect & connect it when YOU NEED TO USE It. like your cellphone, tv,COMPUTER, microwave, toaster and w.e. else you have that;s what i do and it lowered our bill.

when you have the A.C on and need to use the microwave disconnect the A.C. and once your done with the m.w. connect your a.c. on again well if you need it.

wash your clothes in cold water and dry them in low or if you live in a house leave it outside or inside your apt. spread them out.

go to nbc.com or abc-news or cotinue searching.

if you have a phone pay paperless.

    SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely turning off light U are not using and unplug appliances U are not currently using. Do not throw away groceries bag, U can use them instead as garbage bag or other stuff… that’s about what I tried for now :)
