Sale your unnecessary items at home on EBAY. I’ve made some pretty good money selling things I no longer use or need…such as old CD’s, books, radios, telephones…etc. You’d be surprised what you can sell on ebay. Everytime I make a sell, i transfer that money to my savings account. I’m doing pretty good, so far.

Now ebay has fees involved for you to sell….but it’s minor. Good luck.

So many tips, so little room! I save plastic bowls from cottage cheese, yogurt, cream cheese, etc. They are great for organizing small items like nails and screws, or can be used when painting. Same for coffee cans. I save my daily newspapers and then wet them and roll into logs that I use in my fireplace in the winter. Freecycle is another great thing! I also clean and reuse plastic water bottles. I save my large plastic bottles for my greenhouse though. I will fill them with water, paint them with black spray paint and use them as a heat sink when the weather gets cold and my greenhouse needs warmth. When it warms up and the bottles are not needed, I use the water from the bottles to water my plants. Right now, I’m saving the caps from beer bottles to make a cool art project outside! It’s my sister’s idea! I mostly shop at thrift stores or consignment stores for clothing, and yes, I do hang my clothes outside on a clothesline!

Hang your clothes on hangers (or over your dining room chairs) to dry instead of using the dryer. You can also hang clothesline practically anywhere!

Open your dishwasher when the rinse cycles are finished and let the dishes air-dry.

Become a tourist in your own town and discover cool free things to do.

Sounds like food tips to me…….lol
I make a list when going shopping & stick to that the best that I can. Splurge only when you know you can really afford too.
Or you can just stay home.

I have a large container, and each day I come home, I empty all my change in it, and put 1 quarter 2 dimes 2 nickles and 5 pennies back in my purse, It is amazing how quick the money adds up . When I get enough I buy saving bonds for my Grand kids.

Always purchase on sales. Never buy on a whim. Any purchase must replace something that is broken, worn out, etc. Even if worn out, does it still have another use?

Cook several meals at one time and store the extra for the next day or so. Buy only sizes of food you will use, no extra pieces.

Every item must have more than one use, especially in the kitchen…..I hate single use items! No electric can opener, manual with the bottle opener on it. Strainer, not separate colender.

What you want and what you need are vastly different.

Make a grocery list and make yourself stick to it. Don’t buy anything else than what is on that list!

I save water bottles and refill, instead of buying new ones. I know it’s just a few dollars, but it accumulates. But thanks for the tips! I’m a pretty frugal person myself.
